PIENTA Sr. – David, age 69, of Sparta, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Veronica Pienta, and a special friend, Michael J. Feutz. Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Pienta (Rector) of 46 years. Children, Sharon (Mike) Emery, David Pienta Jr. (fiance, Deana), Ronald (Sandra) Pienta of Atlanta, GA., Christina (Douglas) Bacon, Michael Pienta, and seventeen grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Patricia (Richard) Czarnopys, Richard (fiance, Linda) Pienta, Kathy (Mike) Hiltz, and Cindy (Dan) Farah. Mother in-law, Nancy G. Rector, brother and sisters in-law, Richard (Linda) Rector, David (Dianne) Rector, Cynthia (Mike) Johns, Dennis (Kathy) Rector, and Denise (Dave) Hiemstra. Many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, Ron Redman, and many special friends. Dave was a member of the National Guard for several years. He was employed by General Motors – Delphi for 34 years, as purchasing for the tool room. The most important meaning in Dave's life was his precious family; spending family vacations camping, holidays together, and special moments with his darling grandchildren. Dave enjoyed many hobbies – competing in sports; drag racing, many lanes of bowling, and occasionally a round of golf. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Dave's special friends at the Holiday Camp Ground in New Era. A special thanks to all the special staff at Lacks Center who assisted in his care for many years. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service with Pastor R.
