SPRINGFIELD – Gary Springfield, age 65, of Comstock Park, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 13, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Wilma, beloved brother, Gerald, sisters in-law, Fay and Judy Springfield. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen of 41 years, daughter, Jamie (Rick) Saincome, sister, Lois (Wayne) Sparks, brothers, Jay (Donna) and Dale Springfield, five grandchildren, sister in-law, Nancy Springfield, and many nieces and nephews. He was a very proud grandfather of his five grandchildren, and loved spending precious time with them. Gary served in the Navy on the Yorktown and enjoyed his world travels. He was an avid amateur radio enthusiast, which brought him much joy. Gary was a patron of the Swan Inn Restaurant, and enjoyed meeting all of his friends there. The funeral service will be held at the Maranatha Bible Church, 4426 Stoneycreek at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012 with visitation one hour prior to the service with Pastor Todd Dykstra.
