David Lee Peltz was a caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away at home on the morning of February 12, 2024 at the age of 62 after a hard-fought battle against cancer. He was born to Joanne and Frank Peltz on December 27th, 1961. David worked hard with his family and friends to expand and run two successful family-owned small businesses. He did so alongside his brother and business partner Frank, whom he specifically stated working with was both an honor and privilege. David married his best friend and love of his life, Patricia, and together they raised their 4 children, Charles, Shanarr, Mitchell, and Raquel. David was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and a keen love of hunting. He spent many days cultivating and developing the land around his home to create unique environments flourishing with deer and other wildlife which he loved to observe and hunt. He was a skilled sportsman with a not-so-secret love of teaching and showing others how to track and hunt but also to simply enjoy nature and the world outside of the confines of home. He loved to share his hobbies with others as well as learn new hobbies which interested those around him, especially those his grandchildren enjoyed. He would often spend his days and weekends running about, playing, wrestling, and exploring with those same grandchildren, filling the days with laughter and fun. David is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Peltz; children, Charles (Dawn Modic) Robinson, Shanarr Peltz, Mitchell (Kristina) Robinson, and Raquel (Jacob) VanderZanden; 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Frankie, Winry, Nolan, Linken, Mack; his caring mother Joanne Peltz; his brother and business partner Frank Allen (Camille) Peltz; sisters, Jean (Craig) Sandusky, Sandra (John) Hightower, Debra (George) Steier, Patricia (Randall) Jamison; as well as three aunts, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Frank L. Peltz. A visitation followed by a memorial service and luncheon is scheduled for 11 AM, memorial starts at 12 PM, on February 17, 2024 at Beuschel Funeral Home (5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321). In lieu of flowers the family has requested anyone looking to share a memorial contribution to instead give to Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids (michigan.gov/mvh), Disabled American Veterans (help.dav.org), or a veteran’s charity of their choice. Thank you.
