Elizabeth Lillie

Elizabeth Ann Lillie, age 82, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years on December 3, 2023, Kenneth Guy Lillie Jr; son, David Lillie; sister, Jane Pease; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Joanne Wilson; sister-in-law, Diane Paratore. Betty is survived by her daughter, Diane (Roger) Schmidt; son, Roy (Dawn) Stiles; grandchildren, Arika Schmidt, Kaila (Jess) Stevens, Samantha Schmidt, Takoda (Hannah) Schmidt, Alexis Wrisley; great grandchildren, Lillie Schmidt, Edison Schmidt, Elliott Schmidt, Aniya Wrisley; special son of her heart, Jose Eduardo Mendoca Jr. and his wife, Olivia; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Brewer. There are no words to describe what a great wife, mom, and grandma she was. She was dedicated to serving the Lord through Bible study groups, Gideon International, and Voice of the Martyrs. She was a missionary at Bethel Bible Conference in Trufant, Michigan in the 70's. Along with my dad they started a Bible club for kids, Bethel Youth Club in Comstock Park before Awana was a thing. She has always been active in the church with ladies groups, vacation Bible school, Sunday school and Bible studies. Mom loved bowling and was on a bowling league at Northfield Lanes for many years. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI. Friends and relatives may meet the family at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI on Tuesday, March 12, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. and one hour prior to the funeral at church starting at 10:00 am. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Betty's name to Gideons International or Voice of the Martyr's.
