Obituary for Edward Ivan Dyer

Mr.. Edward Ivan Dyer, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Beverly Dyer; daughter-in-law, Kim Dyer; his brother Fred Dyer and sister Mary (Dyer) Erickson; and brothers-in-law Merwin Miller and Louis Michalak.

Edward is survived by his son, Dale Dyer; grandchildren Lucinda (Scott) Dyer Joswick and Bradley Dyer; and great-grandchildren, Maximilian and Juna Joswick; brother, Tom (Toni) Dyer; sister, Louise (Dyer) Ferguson and brother-in-law Charles (Judy) Miller and sister-in-laws Joyce Michalak and Helen Veenstra.

Edward was born and raised living farm life in Fremont, Michigan where he met his wife, Beverly. He worked for Continental Motors/Teledyne for nearly 50 years before he and his wife retired in 1998. Edward’s smart savings allowed them to travel and have second homes in Ludington, Michigan, and Mission, Texas. He and Beverly adored sharing those places with their children, grandchildren, and many family and friends.

Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors, especially sharing those traditions with his wife, son, and grandson. Most of all, he beamed with pride at the little family and successful life he and Beverly made. Their family will gather in late March for the internment of both Edward and his beloved Beverly Dyer at a mausoleum at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery.
