Obituary

MAGUIRE - Patricia Josephine Maguire, age 76, of Alpine Township, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 with her family by her side. Patricia was preceded in death by her infant son, Keith; parents, Viola (Scheidel) Kasprowicz, Augustine Scheidel and Edward Kasprowicz; parent in-laws, George and Alice Maguire; brother, Edward Scheidel; sister in-laws, Alice Meyers and Dorothy Scheidel; brother in-laws, Lawrence Hawley and Edward Meyers, and other extended family members. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George Maguire; sons, Michael (Laura), Kevin (Cheryl), Brian (Teresa); daughters, Barbara (Douglas) Anderle, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Muma, Colleen (David) Jackson; fourteen grandchildren; sister, Barbara Hawley; brothers, Lawrence Scheidel and Raymond (Jan) Scheidel; sister in-law, Margie Scheidel; cousins, nephews, nieces, including a special niece, Sharon who helped care for her, and Godchildren. Pat was born, raised and lived her entire life in Alpine Township. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Pat fought a courageous nineteen month battle with brain cancer. She was actively involved at Holy Trinity Church as a long time choir member and cantor, also a soloist at many funerals, and Eucharistic minister. After her children were grown, she was employed by Mr. Fables where she was well known as hostess and later became the morning manager. The family will receive family and friends for visitation at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m, on Friday, September 12, 2014 with Deacon Jerry Roersma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church - Family Center, with Rev. Father Thomas Simons as celebrant. Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Beuschel Funeral Home following the Mass of Christian Burial. Patricia's family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing and Hospice staff at the Heartland Health Care Center on the East Beltline.
