It is with deep sadness that the Cote family announces the passing of Barbara Rosa (Hansen) Cote, on Monday, July 15, 2024.  Barb was born on April 2nd, 1948, in Kalamazoo, MI.  Barb earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State College.  She married Michael James Cote in 1970 and eventually settled in Comstock Park, MI.  Barb loved gardening, being outdoors, traveling, and encouraging a spirit of wonder and fun in her grandchildren.  Barb will always be remembered for giving her all to the ones she loved, as well as to anyone who found themselves in need.  She is survived by her loving husband, Michael James Cote; daughter, Michele (Pamela Powell) Cote; daughter, Sara (Kenny) Farabaugh; son, Jeffrey (Noreen Finn) Cote; daughter-in-law, Cristina (Hathaway) Cote; and beloved grandchildren, Alexa, Isabelle, Juliana, Jonathan, Soren, Nathan, Natalie, and Jack; brother, Walter (Brigid) Hansen; brother-in-law, Paul (Sue) Cote; many cherished nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family, and countless dear friends; and was preceded in death by son, Michael James Cote, Jr.  and parents, Carl Ray and Lola (Dziewicki) Hansen of Kalamazoo, MI.  Please join the family for a memorial on Thursday, July 18 at Beuschel Funeral Home in Comstock Park from 6:00-9:00 pm with a rosary at 8:00 pm.  The funeral mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Andrew on Friday, July 19 at 10:00 am.
