Benjamin Howard Rose, age 68, of Grand Rapids went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Ben graduated from Kenowa Hills High School. He worked at Lincoln Lanes for many years as a Pin Mechanic, also for Mitro Chemical Company and GR Spring & Wire. Ben was a fan of Ohio State and MSU Football and Nascar Racing. He loved music and going to concerts. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors while fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Dolores Rose; grandson, Cody Mercer; great granddaughter, Dorothy "Dottie" Taylor. Ben is survived by his soul mate and wife of 45 years, Lois Rose; sisters, Karen (John) Behr, Kathy (Dan) Kitchen, Fran Welch, Dennis (Karen) VanDreumel; children, Terri (Joe) Wilson, Mike (Kathy) Mercer, Dennis (Tammy) Mercer; grandchildren, Samantha Nash (Mike Syrek), Jennifer (Carl) Taylor, Erik (Lizi) Wilson, Rachel (Chris) Wald, Melissa (Jordan) Munoz, Kaylee Mercer, Amanda (Ben) Bauer, Tory (Ray Meyers) Mercer; great grandchildren, Olivia, McKenzie, Peyton, Ayden, Sophia, Paisley, Sterling, Parker, Margo; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2:30 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, with Rev. Chris Rouech officiating. Friends and relatives may meet the family at the funeral home for a visitation before the service from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. A private interment will take place at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery for family. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Ben's name to the Parkinson's Foundation.
