Ben A. Madison Sr. passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the age of 81. He was very patriotic and loved his country, serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was a retired Architect, becoming registered before a four year degree was required. Ben was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed going camping with his family. He taught his children to respect the outdoors. Family gatherings were a big part of his life. Ben was always ready to help someone in need from taking in foster children to putting relatives up when they had no place to go or giving his children's friends a place to stay when they didn't want to go home. Ben could often be found in his workshop in the barn tinkering with something needing fixing. He was a magnificent cook and grill master. Ben married Ramona Gonzalez, his loving wife of 54 years, on December 7, 1968 in Lansing, Michigan. She survives him along with daughter, Teena Taylor (Jim) and her children, Travis and Tara Bellet; son, Ben A. Madison Jr. (Melissa) and his children, Joseph, Alaina and Elijah; daughter, Renee Madison (Steve) and her daughter, Jessica Fish. A Memorial Mass will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI. with Rev. Thomas G. Simons officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the church. In keeping with Ben's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at the Veterans Cemetery.
