SCHNEIDER - Bernice Schneider, age 95, of Sparta, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 6, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Maurice Schneider; her parents, Stephen and Alice (McKrill) Burns; siblings, Bertha Kent, Stephen Burns, Ruth Middleton, Frank Burns, Robert Burns and Kay Hallock. Bernice is survived by her beloved children, Susan (Richard) Pelkowski, Kathleen (Thomas) Tomasik, Lee (Carol) Schneider, Phillip (Cheryl) Schneider and Jacklyn (Bruce) Fahling; siblings, Barbara Skelonc, Daniel (Nancy) Burns and Janet (Paul) Harris; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and another expected shortly. Bernice and her husband, Morris, enjoyed growing fruit together for over 50 years on the Ridge. She enjoyed quilting and life on the farm. Bernice and Maurice made many happy memories wintering in Florida together for over 31 years. Bernice's greatest loves were her family and serving her community. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Ed Harwood. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wright Township, with her nephew, Rev. Ronald Schneider as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
