Larm, Bertil Kenneth, age 94, of Comstock Park, passed away May 15, 2023 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born November 1, 1928 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids to parents Bernard and Elsa Larm. He was graduated from Central High School in 1946, from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1948, and received his engineering degree from Michigan Tech in 1950. He then served two years in the United States Army with time mostly spent in Germany. His work years included the local GM Aircraft plant, Grand Rapids Brass Co., and Miller Metal Products Co. He was a member of the GBU 207 Lodge and the Viking Lodge Linne 57 in Muskegon. He was a member of the Grand Rapids Accordion Ensemble and loved to attend Polka dances. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle and aunt, Hugo and Evelyn Larm and special friend Elsie I. Tanis. He is survived by cousins in Sweden and dear friends the Tanis families Rick (Jill), Michael (Judy), Matthew (Allison) and children, as well as dear friend Joan VanderVelde. Ken will be lovingly remembered for his kind demeanor, musical spirit and philanthropic heart. A memorial service will be held June 23, 2023 at Beuschel Funeral Home in Comstock Park at 10:30 with luncheon to follow. A private internment to be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Music Therapy program or Grand Rapids Community Foundation. Service Details.
