ALT - Beverly Joanne (Brazaski) Alt, age 74, of Alpine Township, passed away while in the loving arms of her husband, of 52 years, Thomas Alt; listening to their love song. She also was surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Mary's - Mercy Health Hospital due to chronic pulmonary disease. Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Tim; parents, Leonard and Dorothy Brazaski; sisters, Linda and Sue; in-laws, Joe and Caroline Alt, Mike Alt and Carole Alt. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughters, Tamara Alt and Erin (Ronald) Orcasitas; granddaughters, Amanda, Olivia and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Zariah and Junior; sisters, Kathy Brazaski and Karen Guikema; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins; in-laws, Joe (Dorothy), Dave (Pat), Dan (Beth), Marcia (Bob) Spruit, Mary Jo (Gary) Rauser and Cindy (Mike) Hoogewind. Beverly was born on October 25, 1943 in Taft, California. She grew up on the West side of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Beverly attended St. Mary's School in elementary, and graduated from Catholic Central and then went on to beauty school where she was a beautician for over 40 years. She referred to herself as, "The Psychiatrist with a comb." Beverly was a devoted, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8:30 p.m., with the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Father Dan Schumaker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the Mass, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Father Dan Schumaker as celebrant. A private interment will be held in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Luther, Michigan with Father Joe Fix as celebrant.
