Brent A. Beuschel, 40, of Sparta, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Brent is preceded in death by his father, Gregory Beuschel; grandparents, Norman and Teresa Beuschel, and Alvin May; and uncle, Paul Beuschel. Brent is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Erin; children, Mariah, Eleanor, Abel, Gemma and Jacquelyn; mother, Janice Beuschel; brother, Ryan (Betsy) Beuschel; grandmother, Evelyn May; father and mother-in-law, David and Theresa Thelen; brother-in-law, Jarrod (Tara) Thelen; nieces and nephews, Jude, Lena, Gabriel and Mira Thelen; and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Brent was a graduate of the Sparta High School Class of 2000. As a high school student, he was selected to be on the Sparta Township board and continued to serve for several years. He went on to graduate with a Finance degree from Michigan State University. Brent won the support of many in the local community in his run for the State House of Representatives, losing only by a slim margin. Brent's aspirations then turned to the funeral industry. He received his mortuary degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. Brent and Erin opened Beuschel Funeral Home in 2010. In 11 short years, Brent made his dream of Beuschel Funeral Home a success. He had a passion for community service and was involved with Comstock Park Rotary Club, Junior Achievement, Knights of Columbus Council # 10992, American Legion Post, Comstock Park Senior Senior Prom, and various community projects. Brent's heart always remained on the Ridge, where he was born and raised. As a fifth-generation farmer, Brent was proud of his family legacy. Brent baled hay each summer for more than 20 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Comstock Park and Holy Family Catholic Church in Sparta. He was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.
Brent will be lovingly remembered as a faithful, caring, and compassionate man. He was a loving husband and a devoted father to his children who were the joy of his life. In everything, Brent wanted to make life better for the person in front of him.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m., led by Deacon Jerry Roersma. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road, Comstock Park, on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, with Rev. Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. Private interment.
