Obituary

ALT - Carl A. Alt, Jr., age 76, of Comstock Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021 at his family home with his devoted wife, Bonnie, by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Evelyn; sister, Marlene (Carris); and brother-in-law, Larry Berryhill. Carl is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bonnie; siblings, Norbert (Susan) Alt, Kathleen (Wayne) Jones, and Phyllis Berryhill; brothers and sisters-in law, Phyllis (Joseph) Steffens, Sharon (David) Carlson, George (Mickey) May; Jane (Jerry) Berg; many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Carl graduated from Comstock Park High School with the Class of 1962. He was raised on the family farm and was a partner in Alt Fruit Farms with his brother, Norbert. He had a passion for farming and developed many life-long friendships with other local farmers. Carl enjoyed the simple things in life, the love of his family, his friends, and his farm. He was a farmer who worked hard to provide, a husband who loved his wife, and a good neighbor always willing to help out a friend. Friends and family may be received at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Jerry Roersma. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road NW, Comstock Park, on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. The mass will be co-celebrated by Rev. Father Chris Rouech and Rev. Father Richard Host. Interment will be held at Alpine Center Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
