Our beloved Catherine "Cathy" Lynn Centilli, age 63, went with the Lord holding her husband Rick's hand, on September 25, 2020. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on February 12, 1957. She was the daughter of Ralph and Carrie Murrell, and was the six sibling of thirteen children. Cathy is survived by her loving husband Richard Centilli; daughter Christina Sheckler and sons Jim Sheckler, Rick (Sam) Centilli and her lovely grandchildren whom she adored Jaxson, Ava and Reid; siblings, Paulette (Doug) Lee, Tammy (Mark) Sauline, Theresa (Art) May, Jeff Murrell and Susan Murrell; mother-in-law, Mary Esther (Larry) Krantz; sisters-in-law, Gerri Plite and Jeanne Macon; brothers-in-law, Paul (Barbara) Centilli and Patrick (Alana) Centilli. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ashlie Catherine Centilli; parents, Ralph and Carrie Murrell; brothers, Jim Murrell, Dave Murrell, Gary Murrell and Keith Murrell; step-son, Michael Marek; brothers-in-law, Timothy Centilli, Daniel Centilli and Andrew Centilli. I am standing upon the seashore, A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!" And that is dying . .. Henry Van Dyke Cathy will be remembered for her constant giving of care and love. She loved to entertain her family and friends with her amazing passion for cooking and baking. Cathy was a giver in Christ in many ways and was always there with open arms to help anyone who needed it. Cathy's most favorite pastime was to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She spent a lot of her time making a beautiful home with her husband, shopping, baking with her sisters, daughters and nieces. Cathy always enjoyed treating herself with a glass of wine, and watching television with her dog Mooney and her husband Rick. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Cathy was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Mass will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends and family at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In memory of Cathy, please consider memorial donations to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
