Cathleen (Martin-Vogel) Bromley, 73 of Sparta, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 29, 2024.  The daughter of Forrest and Marianne (LaGoe) Martin of Marion, Michigan, she was born on April 10, 1951.  Cathy's family relocated to a close-knit community on Herman Avenue in Wyoming, Michigan when she was just a toddler.   Her family was very active at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she attended grade school.   Cathy later graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic Central in 1969.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Catherine; husband, Ron Vogel; mother, Marianne Martin; father, Forrest Martin; mothers-in-law, Pearl (Bromley) Slater and Beth Vogel; father-in-law, Carl Vogel, and sister-in-law, Nancy (Bromley) Basset.  She is survived by her husband, Bob Bromley; her three children: Andrea (Jon) Leslie, Jason (Kristy) Vogel, and Emily Vogel; her five grandchildren: Allison (Dren) Bartrum, Megan Leslie, Jaren Vogel, Donovan Vogel, and Joselyn Vogel; her sisters, Mary Jo (Gene) Mount and Pat (Greg) Painter; her three brothers, Mike (Ginny) Martin, Tom (Terri) Martin, and Tim Martin, her five brothers-in-law: Phil (Nancy) Vogel, Chuck (Barb) Vogel, Tom (Nancy) Vogel, Tim (Beth) Vogel, and Kevin Vogel; her two sisters-in-law: Vickie (Tom) Peterson and Bonnie Bromley, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Cathy was a devoted mother, overcoming the untimely death of her first husband Ron to see all of her children successfully attend college and obtain a master's degree or higher.  She operated a daycare center for over 30 years at her home, pouring her love into each child that entered through her door.  She was known by family and friends as a master party planner and a talented cook, two skills that complimented each other.  A giving heart, another passion of Cathy's was shopping, especially for those she loved. Cathy also spent much of her time cheering on her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren in athletics.  In addition, she was a faithful Tigers, Lions, and Wolverines fan.  In the summer, Cathy enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Big Star Lake, soaking in the sun, entertaining friends and family, and fishing for bluegills.  Visitation with the family will take place at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. -- 6:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. and reception featuring some of Cathy's greatest hits.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Cathy's name to Sparta Township Library.
