Cecelia Ann Hamilton, age 86, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024. Cecelia was born on March 2, 1938 to Anthony and Helen Schneider in Lansing Michigan. She attended St. Mary's High School and then graduated from Borgess School of Nursing in Kalamazoo. Cecelia was a very devout Catholic and a 3rd order Franciscan. She was loving, friendly and generous to a fault. Cecelia was dedicated to her family and an ambassador to people in general. She made the best of every situation grounded in her faith. Cecelia retired as a nurse from the Michigan Veterans Facility in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Helen Schneider; daughter, Cynthia Castaneda; infant son, Anthony Diaz; siblings; Richard Schneider, James Schneider, Fr Philip Schneider, Lenore Baty, Mary Wagner and Paul Schneider. Cecelia is survived by her son, Peter (Jackie Trinh) Diaz, daughter, Genevieve Bellavance; stepdaughters, Melissa Dunham and Tracey Tradii; grandchildren, Anthony Tregre, Alex (Evan) Schardt, Ryan Basher, Heather Basher, Aidan Tradii, Ciara Tradii, Nickolas Dunham, Randi Dunham, Erin Dunham; and great grandson, Taylor Schardt; siblings, Ann Thelen, Robert (Brenda) Schneider, Cathy (Linda) Schneider, Theresa (Tom) Rinkoski, Pat (Bill) Estelle; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park. Friends and relatives may meet the family at the funeral home one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 am.
