Obituary

Cheryl Ann (Shadowens) Stowe passed away peacefully into eternal life on June 8, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born July 28, 1961 to Robert and Luella. Growing up competing in 4H and showing horses, as well as barrel racing, her love for animals began at an early age. You would always find her where the animals were. She welcomed various animals to her home over the years, and most recently began to ride horses again. She will be most remembered for the joy, laughter, and kindness she brought to every person she met. Steadfast in her faith, she always knew how to make others feel welcomed and loved. She could find the good in every person and every situation. The greatest joy of her life is the family she leaves behind. Each of whom she loved fiercely, immensely, and unconditionally. Together with her husband of nearly 37 years, Mark, they welcomed five children, five in-laws whom Cheryl treated as her own, three grandchildren and she was so happy knowing that the family will soon welcome two more. Mark and Cheryl enjoyed time outside hiking, gardening, and adventuring together. Cheryl was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Mark; her five children, Nathan (Bethany) Stowe, Matthew (Bailey Bryant) Stowe, Adam (Kiersten) Stowe, Rachael (Josh) Engwall and Leah Stowe (Charlie Bovard). Along with her father, Robert Shadowens; her mother, Luella (Ray) Mikulski; her brothers, Robert Jr. (Kelly) Shadowens and Michael (Erika) Shadowens; three grandchildren, Logan, Savannah and Dani; father-in-law, Marcus Stowe; sister-in-law Sally, (Flaviano) Baltizar; many nieces and nephews each of whom will miss Cheryl deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1200 Alpine Church Rd. NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321) at 11 am on Tuesday, June 14th with a luncheon to follow. The family will receive visitors at Beuschel Funeral Home (5018 Alpine Ave. NW, Comstock Park) on Monday, June 13th from 5-8 pm with a scripture service at 7:30 pm and again on Tuesday, June 14th from 10-11 am at Holy Trinity prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding where Cheryl was recently able to enjoy riding again. Donations can be sent to: 3777 Rector Ave NE, Rockford, MI 49341 or made online: equestcenter.org. Condolences may be sent online at www.beuschelfuneralhome.com. Service Details.
