REED - Christian Mikel Reed, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, age 28, of Marne, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Chris is survived by his daughter, Skylah Rae Reed; parents, Rose (Michael) Balcerzak and David Reed; brother, Jacob (Hailey) Blankenship; sisters, Kamia Reed and Jadis Reed; grandparents, William and Susan Sibrel, Donald and Renee Sinke, and Susan Davidson; aunts and uncles, Angela (Zach) Skiver, Robert (Dawn) Sibrel, Joshua (Katherine) Davidson, Marjorie Davidson, Sam Davidson, Matthew (Julia) Sinke, Kyle (Kristen) Sinke, Michele Kay, Martha (Robert) Morgan, Teresa (Scott) Robey, Ronald Petree, many cousins, and niece, Avery Skye Blankenship. Chris graduated from Rockford High School in 2009. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hiking, music and loved to draw. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The celebration of Chris's life will be offered at 12:00 noon with Pastor Tommy Boutell of United Methodist Church officiating.
