DEMPSEY - Cindy Kay Dempsey, age 61, of Kent City, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 into the arms of Jesus. Cindy is survived by her companion, Glenn Shupe; son, Adam (Robin) Dempsey; daughter, Stacy J. Dempsey; grandchildren, Adam Dempsey Jr., Holly Dempsey, Kaitlyn Dempsey and Marshall Dempsey; mother, Ruth (Leon) Whetstone; brothers, Kirk (Mary) Stevens, Terry (Brenda) Stevens; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Stevens and her husband, Marshall Dempsey. Cindy was a devoted mother and grandmother. In her youth she showed quarter horses at many state competitions and won multiple trophies and saddles. Cindy enjoyed celebrating her annual birthday at Boone's Inns, with Glenn for a lobster and steak dinner; with a trip following at the casino in Traverse City. A deep appreciation to Glenn for his faithful care given to Cindy, especially in her final days. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with the Celebration of Cindy's life following at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dale Kleinheksel officiating, from Maranatha Bible Church.
