Obituary

KRETSCHMAN - Connie Jo Kretschman, of Conklin, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 surrounded by her family. She built a sixty five year path of laughter, love, and wisdom. Connie was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. She was born May 17, 1951 to Harold and Mary Honeywell at the Community Health Center in Coldwater Michigan. Connie lived in LaGrange, Indiana where she enjoyed riding her horse, sewing and swimming. She attended Lakeland High School where she graduated in 1969. Connie attended Ball State University for a time and then married her high school sweet heart, Dennis Kretschman in 1971. They started a family and in 1974 moved to Marne and then to Conklin, where they have resided for the last 35 years. Connie was a stay at home mom. She was totally dedicated to her children and was involved in in all aspects of their lives. Connie was always ready to listen and give advice. When her children were older, she started working at D & W and advanced through many positions ending as a bookkeeper. She loved to shop, especially for antiques. Connie looked forward to her many shopping trips with her friend Neilene, always looking for something special for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at Chippewa Lake, riding in the pontoon and spending time with her children and grandchildren. They brought her so much joy. Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Keller and father, Harold Honeywell. She will be forever missed by her husband, of 45 years, Dennis Kretschman; her children, Beth Kretschman and Tom Irish, Jeremie Kretschman, Jennifer and Pat Rollenhagen and Ryan and Kristi Kretschman; and her grandchildren, Ian, Conner and Emerson Irish, Porter; Carter and Allie Kretschman: Vanessa and Mason Rollenhagen, and grandbaby # 9; and many extended family and friends. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Connie are invited to visitation at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, Michigan, 49321 on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., with repose one hour prior to service, with Pastor Julie Schneider-Thomas as celebrant, at Zion Lutheran Church, 582 Lamoreaux Drive N.W., Comstock Park, Michigan 49321. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014 or michaeljfox.org., in memory of Connie.
