KWEKEL - Cornelius Kwekel, born April 15, 1926, of Comstock Park, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Cornelius is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Kwekel of 66 years; his children: Sally (Don) Bosch, Nancy Cole, Steven (Barbara) Kwekel; eight grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Buiter. He was preceded in death by brothers: John Kwekel, Evert Kwekel and Leonard Kwekel. Cornelius loved fishing and traveling with his wife and his garden. He was a member of the Free Reformed Church for many years. A private burial service has taken place at Fairplanes Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Please consider a memorial contribution to Faith Hospice.
