PELAK - Daniel Frank Pelak, age 53, of Comstock Park, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mary Brechting and Stanley and Katherine Pelak. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Barbara (Rauch) Pelak; precious children, Dylan and Madilyn; beloved parents, Norman Sr. and Lenore Pelak; siblings, Mary and Frank DeLucia, Norman II and Joan Pelak, Thomas and Diane Pelak, Stanley Sr. and Patricia Pelak, John Sr. and Eileen Pelak, Timothy Pelak, Ann Thome, Frank and Peggy Pelak and Rev. Father Anthony Pelak; parent in-laws, David and Nancy Rauch; sibling in-law, Stephen and Laurie Rauch and Kathleen and Paul Huiber; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Daniel loved to spend time at his cottage in Baldwin with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and the time he shared with his friends. Dan was a life long member of Holy Trinity Parish, as well as a member of St. Ann's Parish in Baldwin. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School and Davenport University. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park for visitation on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m., with Rev. Father Tony Pelak. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Holy Trinity Church with Rev. Father Tony Pelak as celebrant. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Those who wish to make a donation, please consider contributions for Daniel's children's future education.
