HINCKLEY - David "Dave" D. Hinckley, age 80, of Comstock Park, formerly of Cascade, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2017. Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carolyn; loving children, Laura (Thad) Burghorn, Linda (Bill) Parker and Nancy (Chris) Jones; precious grandchildren, Corinne Burghorn, Angela Burghorn, Christine (Chris) Quackenbush, Stephanie (Dillan) Sims, Jenny Hall and Kate (Kyler) Porter; sweet great-grandchildren, Ella, Penny and Samuel Quackenbush, Parks and Kohen Porter; brother, Pete (Sue) Hinckley; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He loved his family and was very proud of his daughters and granddaughters. Dave's passion was golfing and he enjoyed watching Spartan and Detroit Lions football. Dave received a football scholarship to Michigan State University and was a proud Spartan Alumni. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life following, at Plainfield Christian Church, 7255 Pine Island Drive N,E., at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bruce Wilson, officiating. Inurnment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
