LEWIS - David Lewis, age 62, a native of Chicago, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 4, 2016. David is survived by his children, Tameia Lewis, Steven Darkins, Ernie Mobly, Flecia Covington, and Cassie Wilson; dearest loved ones, Felita Lewis-Darkins, Gloria Hardy, Shannon Dodson, and Tiara Reed; grandchildren, Jaeda Selden, Mila Selden, La'Bre Summers, Derrell Summers, Zariah Mobly, and Jayden Couch; loving brother, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Elizabeth Lewis; brother, Lawrence Lewis; sister, Mary Lewis. David Lewis was a gentle giant who enjoyed the open road, listening to old school music and working on cars. He was willing to lend a helping hand, and did it always with an open heart. David has touched the hearts of so many and we will forever hold onto and cherish his love and memory. A special thank you to Dr. Weiss and the entire Mercy Health Advanced Care Coordination Team. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The celebration of David's life will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Beuschel Funeral Home.
