Delores "De" Frueh, age 84 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. De was born October 14, 1938 in Falmouth, Michigan, the daughter of Cornelius and Allice (Baas) Dornbos. She graduated from Northern Michigan Christian High School in McBain. De worked for over 20 years at Meijer, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church in Marne. De was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin J. Bekins in 1986; her sister, Genevieve Jenema; and her brother, Lewis Dornbos. De will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, John "Jack" Frueh Sr.; her children, Randy and Chin Bekins, Rick and Karen Bekins, Raymond Earl and Debra Bekins, Melissa and Sam Davis, Linda and Dan Smith, and Marcia and Tim Harris; her 17 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; her sister, Kay Hofstra; her brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Huddie Dornbos; and her nieces and nephews. A funeral service for De will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Berlin Baptist Church, 14141 State Street, Marne, MI 49345. Pastor Jeff Gunderman will officiate. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday, October 24 at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, MI 49321. The family will also greet visitors one hour prior to the service from 10:00am - 11:00am on Tuesday at church. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Alpine Township.
