Dennis Murtland, age 56, of Belmont, passed away peacefully with his family around him on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Murtland and is survived by his wife, Kimberly nee Bohland; mother, Susan; siblings, Chris (Dave) Leasure, Scot (Nicole) Murtland; his son Martin (Tiffani) Murtland, daughter Racheall (Garrett) Phipps, son Eric Murtland, step daughter Allison (Tallis) Suarez, 2 step sons Keith Tolhurst and Aaron Davison; four grandchildren, Kaleb, Daphni, Arcadia and Emmett; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis loved the outdoors while hunting and fishing. He was an Army Veteran of 14 years with achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. While stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA he was deployed to Kuwait, during Operation Freedom and several other assignments. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 28 from 7:00-9:00 pm and a Memorial Service will be held at noon with a 1 hour viewing prior on March 29 at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, a luncheon will follow at the Family Center of Holy Trinity Parish.
