Obituary

Dianne Rose (George) Rector, age 73, of Wyoming, Michigan, went into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born February 1, 1953, in Windsor, Canada, to the late Wilfred and Theresa (Samonie) George.

Dianne moved to Michigan in 1981 and married the love of her life, David Rector Sr. on December 4, 1982. She worked many years as an administrative assistant at various companies. Dianne was a devout Catholic and loved to share her faith and beliefs with everyone she met. Her strength and love was a true testament to all her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, David; stepchildren, Melinda (Colin) Piers, David (Stephanie) Rector Jr., and Jeffrey Rector; son-in-law, Ryan Wiltzer; grandchildren, Madeline, Gabriel, Grace, Jordan, Nathan, Maxwell, DJ, Colton and Analiese; brothers, Ronald (Margaret) George and David (Donna) George; sisters, Mary (Dave) Tobias; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy Rector, Cindy Johns, Denise (Dave) Hiemstra, and Richard Rector; and many nieces and nephews.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Dawn Wiltzer; brothers, Lawrence George and Dennis Rector; sister, Karen (Dave) Pienta; sister-in-law, Linda Rector; and brother-in-law, Mike Johns

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321, with a memorial mass being celebrated at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris Rouech officiating. A private burial will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Corewell Health Hospice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Corewell Health Hospice for all of the help, care, and compassion throughout this difficult time.
