DAVIS - Donald E. Davis, age 83, of Muskegon, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 21, 2014 to be with his Lord and Savior. Don is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Evelyn; beloved children, Bill and Julie (Davis) Watson and Brian and Kim Davis; grandchildren, Amber and John Stakelbeck, Edward "Eddie" Hall and Kara Davis; great grandsons, John Stakelbeck and Elijah Stakelbeck; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Davis, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Don married the love of his life Evelyn on July 8, 1955 often telling everyone she was his breath of air. He served his country in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. Don was a member of the VFW Post 8846, Lion's Club and a life time member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church. He was a God loving man who was dedicated servant in serving his Lord as an elder and treasurer at his church. Don would go the extra mile to help someone and he knew everyone . . . many great friends along the way. The celebration of Don's life will be offered at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 with Pastor Sherwin Brantsen as celebrant, and Military Honors by VFW 8846, with visitation one hour prior, at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, 1568 West Giles Road, Muskegon.
