ANDERSON - Doris Irene Anderson, age 102, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at home with her family. She was the 10th child of 13 born to George and Olive Wallis, all preceded her in death. Doris was a devoted wife of 70 years to Harold Anderson, who preceded her in death in 2009. She was a loving Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, who spent her life nurturing and lovingly caring for her husband and family, which were her greatest treasures. After Harold's death she lived at Porter Hills Village for 11 years where she enjoyed the company of many friends, cherished regular visits from her family, and especially enjoyed beating her sons in cribbage and working crossword puzzles with them! For the last six months she's been living with her family. Doris is survived by her children; Harold Aaron (Carol) Anderson, Mike (Susan) Anderson, Linda (Joe) Peterson, Kris (Terresa) Anderson, Larry (Ellen) Anderson and Kay (Roman) Krupp; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wallis and Arlene Wallis; several nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends at Porter Hills Village. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mask wearing and social distancing will be practiced. The funeral service will be for immediate family only, and will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., Beuschel Funeral Home with Rev. Melody Johnson officiating.
