TRAXLER (VanDenHout) - Doris Jean Traxler, age 86, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60-years, William, her brother, Roger, and her son, Robert. She is survived by her mother, Alma, sister-in-law Doreene VanDenHout, beloved children, Nancy (Philip) Keller, Lou Ann Jacobson, fiancé Tom Broderick, daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Traxler, Thomas (Linda) Traxler and Dennis (Amy) Traxler; nine loving grandchildren, Lisa, Stephen, Stephanie, LeAnn, Nicholas, Lindsay, Arica, Dustin, and Abigale; and ten, precious great-grandchildren, Kurtis, Samantha, Benjamin, Raelyn, Mikaela, Cole, Sariah, Lydia, Kennedy, and Audree; and niece Fiona. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Sparta, and active in Sparta Relay for Life and the Sparta Knit Club. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m., with Pastor Rick Riekintveld from Stonebridge Manor and Rev. Msgr. Terrence L. Stewart. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sparta, 425 S. State St. at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 with visitation one hour prior at the church. A private interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery.
