Dorothy Marie Arico, a beloved homemaker, world traveler, and cherished family figure, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Born on September 29, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy was a beacon of love and warmth throughout her 80 years of life. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Dorothy's life was centered around her family. She loved the great outdoors, especially going camping with her family. As a world traveler, she embraced the cultures and landscapes of each place she visited, bringing stories and many pictures back to her loved ones. Dorothy enjoyed cross-stitching and when music played, Dorothy's love for dancing shone brightly. She dedicated her life to nurturing her family and embraced each role with grace and dedication. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Anderson; brothers, Teddy Anderson and Robert (Sue) Anderson; brother-in-law, James Hall. Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 48 years, Edward; sons, Nicholas (Lisa) Arico, Jeff (Rachael) Arico; granddaughters, Gabrielle Smith, Haley Whitney; siblings, Marge Hall, Gerald (Mary Jo) Anderson, Chris (Dennis) Flood, Daniel (Ann) Anderson; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 3:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI. Friends and relatives may meet the family at the funeral home for a visitation prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
