BURNHAM - Earl Leon Burnham, age 98, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Burnham; parents, Leon and Verda Burnham; and sister, Edith (Howard) Hoogerhyde. Earl is survived by his children, Janet Kovach and Larry Burnham; granddaughters, Amy (Jamie) Clark and Jody (Matthew) Lemmer; great-grandchildren, Patrick, David, Jude, Levi and Josephine. Earl retired from Consumers Power Co. (Consumers Energy) in 1981 after 38 years of doing work he thoroughly enjoyed as a primary industrial meterman and later as a field supervisor. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dale Kleinheksel officiating. Interment will be held in Benona Township Cemetery, 7378 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby.
