DARLING - Edward Leonard Darling, age 88, of Grand Rapids, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Loyd, Helen, Margaret, Roy, Lavinia, Dorothy and Willis. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth; beloved children, Patricia (Patrick) Murray, Leonard (Tina) Darling, Cindi (Jim) Flak, Daniel (Marian) Darling, Roy (Joanne) Darling and Fr. George Darling; 11 loving grandchildren; five precious great grandchildren; sister in-law, Rose Darling; many nieces and nephews. Ed was born and raised in Alpine Township. He loved country music, playing cards with anyone, and genealogy. Ed was a long time member of St. Mary's Church in Marne and later Holy Family Church in Sparta. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at St. Mary's Church in Marne. Interment will take place at St. Mary's cemetery.
