LACHMANN - Ellen C. Lachmann (Preston), of Conklin, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 14, 2012. She will be celebrating her 85th birthday with her Lord on Tuesday. Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale, son in-law, James Morse, and brothers, Richard, Eugene and David Preston. She is survived by her children, Brenda Zimmer, Jack (Diana) Lachmann, Julia Morse, John Lachmann, and Jill (Steve) Jannereth, grandchildren, Traci (Ross) Schoenborn, Jamie Zimmer, Joshua (Liz) Morse, Jonathan, Jordan Morse, Jared and Jason Lachmann, great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Bryce Schoenborn and Raylan Morse, sister, Noreen (Walt) Beuschel, sisters in-law, Mary Berends, Laura Preston, Lori Preston, and many nieces and nephews. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Her passion was needle point and playing cards with family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Beuschel Funeral Home 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Ellen's life will be offered on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Trinity Lutheran Church 1351 Harding Street, Conklin, with Pastor Mark Oswald officiating. Internment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Yorkshire Manor for their care.
