Eulices "Shorty" De La Rosa was born on August 9, 1987, in Grand Rapids, MI to Gilberto De La Rosa and Dolores Fraga. He grew up on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. He spent a few years in Lansing, MI as well, but Grand Rapids was always home. Eulices was preceded in death by his father Gilberto, who passed away in 2018 of kidney failure along with his beloved dog Cartel.

He leaves behind 5 amazing children, Javier, Emilio, twin daughters, Yazmin and Yanalis and youngest son, Surgeo.

He will be missed by his sisters, Natalie Medina, Veronica De La Rosa, and Samantha Garcia and many younger siblings; nephew, Jose, Carlos, Miguel, Benicio, Luciano; nieces, aunts and uncles; many cousins but especially Monica Arizola; and many friends who also were his family. He loved being outdoors riding his bikes and driving around in his cars. He was affiliated with many bike clubs in Grand Rapids. He loved being by the water to clear his thoughts smoking a wood.

At the time of his passing, he was fighting cancer and an auto immune disorder, but you would have never known because he never let it show or stop him from living life every day.

Eulices will be greatly missed by all his family and loved ones.

Friends and relatives may meet the family for a visitation that will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI.  A luncheon will follow the visitation starting at 3:00 taking place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321.
