Gerald Joseph Berg, age 76, of Comstock Park, Michigan passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 13, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Jane Berg; children Mark (Natalie) Berg, Laura Saleski (Joel Columbus), Angela (Scott) Lutz; nine siblings, eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was born on February 13, 1947, the fifth of eleven children to Carl and Evelyn Berg. After he graduated from Kenowa Hills High School in 1965, he proudly served his country in the Marine Corp. When he wasn't rooting for his NASCAR driver or watching baseball, he could often be found on the golf course, playing a game of cards, telling jokes, camping, or just grilling a tasty dinner with his beloved golden retriever by his side. Visitation with the family will take place at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Sunday, July 16th from 4 to 7:30 with Rosary to follow. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 17th at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belmont with visitation starting at 10 AM and service at 11 AM.
