Geraldine (Gerri) Yost passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the age of 95.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (d. 1980): and special friend, Tony Schwendinger (d. 2014).  She is survived by her brother, David (Chris) Lumsden; children, Diane Sherd, Benjamin (Heather) Yost, Kelli (Alan) Larson; grandchildren, Melissa Yost, Leah Yost, Gwen Yost, Nolan Yost, Jolene Sherd, Samantha Sherd, and Olivia Sutton; along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Gerri took pride in owning and operating Potato Joe's in Sparta for over 40 years.  She loved working in the greenhouses with her beloved dogs alongside and spending time with her family.  Most of all she loved horses and fast cars.  She was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Sparta, where a Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, March 27, 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to Mass.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
