LEICHTY - Gisela Ruth (Metzger) Leichty, age 85, of Sparta, was reunited with her husband, Floyd Dale Leichty; beloved son, Mark and her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Gisela was born March 8, 1928 in Stuttgart, Germany. She is survived by her children, Gailann (Dave) Leichty-Lokers, Dolores (Rev. Gary) Dougherty, Patricia Smith, Floyd Dale (Diane) Leichty, Sharon Znaniecki, Stephen (Susan) Leichty and Deborah (Dean) Fockler, many precious grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her three sisters and families from Germany. Gisela touched many lives by her association and involvement with Opera Grand Rapids, as a foster grandparent in Sparta Elementary Schools, and as a volunteer at RBC Ministries. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Tuesday, February 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Gisela's life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 19, with visitation one hour prior, at the Beuschel Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Dougherty officiating. Interment will be at Blythefield Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
