SHEARS - Gloria (Barnum) Shears, age 82, of Comstock Park, formerly of Stanwood, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Hester (Hand) Barnum; grandsons, Michael Shears, Zachary Gray; great-grandson, Sylus Gonzales-Dayson; siblings, Lucille Abels, Lawrence Barnum, Leo Barnum, Verita DeVries, Hilda Thorson, PT "Pat" Barnum, Harry Barnum, Luella Gordon, Donald Barnum, Marjorie "Marj" Detmer, and Marshall Barnum. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Luther Shears; children, Marcia Shears, Deborah (Tom) Gray, Michael (Rita) Shears, Janice (Bob) Gassel, Annette (Jerry Pitcher) Davis, and Tracey (Gary) Ciluffo; 23 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Gloria retired from Carbonneau Industries where she was a supervisor for many years. She was a proud "red hatter" and loved her family very much. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Gloria's life will be held at Beuschel Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, officiating Pastor Dan Gruenwald.
