SCHMIDT-Gwendolyn Luella Schmidt, age 63, of Comstock Park, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids, Kent County on December 7, 1958 to Robert and Pearl (Ter Haar) Feirick Sr. Gwen was a graduate of Creston High School. She was employed as a care provider working in adult foster care. Gwen enjoyed the outdoors, and spent her time fishing, camping and boating. The family would like to give special thanks to Margaret Engberg for all her help with Gwen, the American Legion Post members on Four Mile, and her friends, Larry and Pete. Gwen is survived by two brothers, Richard Allen (Cheryl) Feirick and Randy Michael (Tammy) Feirick; one sister, Debra (Steven) Andree; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Pearl, her brother Robert "Buck" Feirick, Jr. and several aunts and uncles. The funeral service for Gwen will be held at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Karel presiding. Visitation will take place one hour prior at the Beuschel Funeral Home on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Alpine Center Cemetery.
