Harold Dayton Curtis, age 79, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Harold was born and raised in Comstock Park, where he attended CPHS, graduating in 1960. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 - 1966. He retired from DTE Energy (MichCon) after 30 years of service. After retirement, Harold enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping, spending time in Arizona, and playing his dulcimer. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Chris Shagonaby. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Cindy; children: Tim (Carri) Curtis, Rebecca Shagonaby, Jake Saxton; grandchildren: Devin Curtis and Haylee Curtis; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Trinity Congregational Church, 2725 Four Mile Rd. NW, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Izzy Young officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
