Helen Marie (Ransom) Thompson, age 90, of Comstock Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026. She was born December 16, 1935, in Lansing, MI, to the late Edwin and Esther (Sterzick) Ransom.

Survivors include her husband, John Fowler; children, Laura (Jaycee) Gilbert, Yvonne Fowler, and Eugene Fowler; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and longtime special friend, Marla Menken.

Helen was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Aubertin; her parents; previous husband, Gerald Thompson who passed away in 1997; and daughter-in-law, Mary Fowler.

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321, with a memorial service being celebrated at 10:30 am with Pastor Izzy Young officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell, MI.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of New Haven Assisted Living Facility and Emmanuel Hospice for their care and compassion throughout this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Trinity Congregational Church.
