Shepard, Holly- Holly Renee Shepard, age 37, passed away on 10/26/22 after a lengthy battle with mental illness. She was reunited with her Dad, William, sister Brenda, and infant niece Georgia. Holly is survived by her 3 children; Sam, Roman, and Dale. She is also remembered by her Mother, Margie, brother Billy, and her sisters Angie, Bernadette(Kelvin), Katie(Luke), and Lisa. Her nieces and nephews; Hanna, Ben, Nate, Noah, Skyler, Olivia, Summer, Stella, Fox, Loki, and Minnow, and the fathers of her children Wanja and Don. Holly attended Kenowa Hills High School and was a 2004 Graduate of Park High School in Grand Rapids. She also attended Olympia For Dental Assisting, served 2 years in the US Army, and was a unique old soul. Holly was passionate about acceptance of those with Austism as her children are on the spectrum, and also souls as unique as hers. Despite challenges in her life, Holly always embraced "her weird" and was unapologetically herself. May this inspire us all to be more accepting, including the bullies of her childhood. Holly created a way to zip outfits for kids with autism, in effort to prevent disrobing. She called them "Boo Boo's Backups." The family invites you to a visitation at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321 on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. We are hopeful Holly's legacy will live on and advance the studies of mental illness.
