BADGEROW - Hulda "Tootie" (Fahling) Badgerow, age 93, of Sparta, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Meadowlark Retirement Home into the arms of Jesus. Tootie is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Chris Fochtman and daughter-in-law, Mary Anne Sydlik; grandchildren, Sean (Monica) Fochtman, Stephanie (Carlus), Henry, Annie (Jason) Grandell, Jacob Sydlik-Badgerow and Katie Sydlik-Badgerow; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Momber; several nieces, nephews and her very special friend, Shirley McFall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton "Cart" Badgerow and their son, John. Tootie was a lifelong resident of Sparta. She was a faithful charter member of Peace Lutheran Church and was active there until her final few weeks. Tootie was also an active member of the local Ladies Literary Club. During WWII she served her country working for the Rationing Board while her fiance served in the Submarine Service. After raising her family, she worked for Rogue River Credit Union and managed it until her retirement. Tootie will be greatly missed by her family, friends, church and community. A special thank you for the loving care given to Tootie while at Meadowlark Retirement Home. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be offered on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Bryan Schneider-Thomas and her nephew Father Rock Badgerow as celebrants.
