VANDERKLOK - Jack VanderKlok, age 91, of Comstock Park, was called home to Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2019. Jack married the love of his life, Janine Burger, on September 1, 1950, who preceded him in death January 2018. Jack was born July 7, 1928 to the late Ralph and Marie VanderKlok along with eight brothers and sisters. Jack is survived by his children who will deeply miss him, Bill (Regina) VanderKlok, Margaret (Kurt) Bouchard, Tom (Suzy) VanderKlok, Janine (Bill) Hill; his grandchildren, Billy (Andrea) VanderKlok, Andy(Amy) VanderKlok, Josh VanderKlok, Sara VanderKlok, Michael (Lisa) Carlson, Kelli (Doug) Ferguson, Kristoffer Bouchard, Daniel VanderKlok, Trevor Hill, Austin Hill and great-grandchildren, Everett, McKenna, Mason, Jack and Elijah. Jack proudly served his country on the island of Guam during World War II until 1948 with an honorable discharge. During his working years he was renownly known for his trade in floor covering and was devoted to helping others. Jack and Janine were dedicated members of Trinity Congregational Church. They greatly enjoyed their camping trips to Silver Lake where they first walked the dunes as teenagers, and also endless campfires and boating with their family through the years. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The Celebration of Jack's life will follow at Beuschel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Izzy Young from Trinity Congregational Church officiating under the auspice of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
