CODY-Jacqueline Michele Cody, age 47, of Comstock Park, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids on May 24, 1974 to Fredrick M. and Katherine A. (Bayink) Schmidt. Jackie graduated from Comstock Park High School Class of 1992, where she was very active in school activities. She furthered her education with an Associate's degree from Grand Rapids Community College and eventually became a registered nurse. Jackie had worked at Spectrum Health and Mercy Health St. Mary's Hospitals. She married Nicholas J. Cody at the former Comstock Park Congregational Church on June 5, 1998. Being a mother was her greatest endeavor, always supporting and being her children's loudest cheering fan at their events. Holidays and special events for family were special to her. Jackie had a passion for serving people, which eventually led her to becoming a nurse. She was very detailed and methodical in any decision that came before her and her family. Jackie totally immersed herself into helping others with anything that she could. Most often Jackie would always place others and their needs before her own. Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Nick; their children, Nathan, Sophie and Warren Cody; her father Fred M. Schmidt; her brother, Christopher (Megan) Schmidt; nephew, Sam Schmidt; niece, Payton Schmidt; mother-in-law, Lonnie G. Cody; sister-in-law Heather Cody; nephew, Owen Williamson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine A. (Bayink) Schmidt. The funeral service for Jacqueline will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beuschel Funeral Home, with Pastor Todd Dykstra officiating. Interment will be in Alpine Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave., Comstock Park, MI and also one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
