James Leroy Carpenter, age 81, of Comstock Park, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 29, 2023. James was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Eelkalina "Etta" J Carpenter; his son, William Carpenter; his father, Milo Carpenter; and mother, Edna Paxson; his sisters, Carol, Judy and Helen. He is survived by his son, James Carpenter; daughters, Ronniesue, Terrie and Tammy; his brothers, Ken and Mike; his sister, Tess; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. James served his country in the Marines from 1960-1964 and 2 years in the reserves. He made his living as a Spray Painter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf, and going to the Casino. James was also a member of the American Legion Post #258. A special thank you for the excellent care given to James by Elara Caring Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 11:00 AM at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park.
