Obituary

James W. "Jim" Clay, age 90, of Comstock Park, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy (Balcerzak); brother, John Clay. Jim is survived by his children, Debora (Gerald) Wykes, Diane (John) Brewster, Michael (Jodi) Clay; grandchildren, Geoffrey (LeAnn) Wykes, Katelyn Gilbert, James (Cecilia) Wykes, Daniel Brewster, Amanda (Jon) Sneathen, Andrew Brewster, Benjamin Clay, Brenna Clay, Eva Clay; great-grandchildren, Scott and Oliver Gilbert, Penelope and James Sneathen, and Shiera Wykes; and sister, Mary Seine. Jim served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Jim was a partner and business owner of CTM, Inc., Tool and Die Company. He enjoyed golfing, and was a fixer of everything mechanical. Jim was known for his deep Catholic faith and bringing a smile to others. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Upon retirement, Jim and Nancy loved traveling many places around the world and enjoyed winters in Florida. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary service with Deacon Jerry Roersma will commence at 7:30 p.m. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with co-celebrant Rev. Fr. Chris Rouech and Rev. Fr. Danny Orris officiating, and under the auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Internment will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
