James Wayne "Wally" Moore, born January 13, 1944 in Alabama, joined his beloved wife, Mary, and parents, Bessie and Robert on Friday, January 24, 2025 at his home.

Wayne graduated high school in Winter Haven, Florida. He then joined his father as a commercial fisherman before relocating to Sparta, Michigan where he met and married Mary Kelley. As a long time Sparta resident, Wally, a popular local gas station attendant, was an Apple Picker for 25 years at Reister's, owned the local arcade, Gator's Den, and originated Wa-Mo recording company, recording several of his self-written songs on 45's. Throughout life with Mary in Sparta, his passions included his Lincoln Continental, flea markets, music, pinball, and shooting pool. Wally will be forever remembered for his unique sense of humor.

Never having children, Wally, treated his brother, Walter's, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as his own. He was preceded in death by his longtime wife, Mary; parents, Bessie and Robert; brother, Walter; and niece, Lisa. Uncle Gator is survived by his nephews, Colin "C.D." (Beth), Kayle, Dave; his great nieces and nephews, Anastasia, Page, EvieM'ree, Colin (Christi), and Korbin and his 8 great great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of memorial flowers and bereavements, the family requests donations to cover Wally's cremation service so that he can be laid to rest near family. Due to distance, donations can be made directly to the Beuschel Funeral Home located at 5018 Alpine Ave Comstock Park, Michigan 49321 via check, cash, or card thru mail, phone, or in person. Any remaining contributions will be donated to a Sparta area nonprofit organization on his behalf. Please ensure you list Wally's official name, James Wayne Moore with all blessings.
